Beau Lyday
Known For
Sculpting
For Beau Lyday, art is more than craftsmanship—it is a spiritual language, a bridge between the seen and unseen. After spending 40 years in the furniture industry, Beau found himself at a crossroads when his job went overseas. Rather than stepping back, he embraced a new calling—dismantling old barns and repurposing their materials into deeply meaningful works of art. Each piece he creates holds a bit of history, with metal, wood, and found objects telling stories of their past lives while pointing toward something greater.
His sculptures often feature sacred geometry and symbols, guiding the viewer inward—to the soul itself. “That’s where you need to go with your art,” Beau explains. He believes the Holy Spirit helps us interpret and understand creation, and his process reflects that divine movement. Rust and patina are not flaws; they are testaments to endurance, reminders that nothing is wasted in the hands of the Creator.
Beau’s award-winning pieces, including Best in Show at the Lenoir Sculpture Celebration, are full of life and transformation. His art is not just about beauty—it’s about renewal, reinvention, and the ongoing act of creation that flows through all of us. “If we can create a piece of art that inspires people in a Heavenly direction,” he reflects, “they will come into their souls and look deep into their very essence—and see that the Creator is there.”
